Open Day And Apple Press 8 October 2-4.30

The children have been busy harvesting a huge amount of apples from the school orchard this week. They are learning about all the different kinds of apples there are and how to store them by wrapping them in newspaper and carefully packing them in boxes. Many of the apples will be used to make delicious apple juice when our apple press arrives on 8 October. We are having an Open Day from 2-4.30 to share our harvest with anyone who wants to come along. There will also be a café filled with delicious homemade cakes and pies and biscuits. Any money made at the café will be sent to a charity which the children voted on this week in their school meeting. This year they have chosen to support Save The Children because it is working closely with refugee children. Please come along to support this cause, press some apples, eat cake and have a play in our wonderful grounds. Come to the welcome desk by the school gate when you arrive to sign in our visitors book.
