It may seem too early to be wrapping presents but the power of a simple gift was given to the children this week. They filled colourfully wrapped shoe boxes with small presents. These included toys, soaps, tooth brushes, warm clothes, writing equipment and (most importantly!) love. The boxes will be transported to children and families in Romania by the organisation Link to Hope. We talked to the children about giving good toys from their own bedrooms rather than buying all of the presents so that they realised the power of giving. And we made sure that the boxes had a whole heap of love in them too! The 'Link to Hope' Devon organisers, Liz Rider and Donna Warne, have been incredibly helpful explaining to the children why these gifts are so important and also collected our 23 boxes and will make sure that they get taken this month.
