World Peace Day
On Friday it was World Peace Day. Mark and Ben’s classes talked about what peace means and why this day helps thousands of people to get aid and safety. We held a 2-minute silence to encourage them to think about other people across the world and in this country that are suffering. We then talked about what each one of us could do every day to help peace spread in our communities, before singing songs and playing ‘Angels’. Angels involves putting everyone’s name into a pot and then each pulling out a name secretly. This means acting extra kindly, thoughtfully and peacefully towards that person for a week. At the end of the week we try to guess who our angel is. It’s a great game to play in a group.
