Homegrown apple café makes magical wishes come true

We have enjoyed harvesting a crop of apples this week.  At a special Apple Day celebration we toasted the biodiversity of our organic orchard with songs and drumming. We also crafted apples into works of art. Apples werepressed into 130 litres of apple juice by a wonderful old apple press called Pomanda which visited the school. Families made some delicious homemade apple treats which were sold at a café to raise money for a charity voted on by the children at their weekly school meeting. This year the children chose to give the money to the charity ‘Make A Wish’, which cares for children with a chronic illness and helps them make magical wishes come true.
