Park School to celebrate 30 years at the forefront of Human Scale Education

Park School, one of the longest running and most successful Human Scale schools in the UK, is to celebrate its 30th year anniversary on the 27th May. The school, based on the Dartington Hall Estate, will be holding a tea party for current and past pupils, parents and teachers of the school.

The afternoon tea party, which runs from 1pm to 4pm will feature a cafe, rolling busking stage, singing, photo and video booth where people can record their memories of Park over the 30 years. Attendees are asked to bring food donations for the tea party along with old photos and memories to share.

Park School is a strong, vibrant community offering holistic, child-centred education for 3 to 11 year olds.  In a recent inspection Ofsted stated that ‘pupils thrive because they feel respected, valued and extremely supported by staff’, reflecting some of the core values that the school was founded upon. Park School has a national and international reputation where teachers from around the world come to observe the school’s teaching and practice.

Park School was a founded in 1987 by parents and based on the values of democracy, justice and respect that are central to the Human Scale education movement. Throughout this year Park School will be celebrating its 30th Anniversary with the 27th May being the centre piece event.
