Turning Apple Juice Into A School Roof

Our children have enjoyed harvesting a crop of delicious apples from their school orchard recently. At a special Apple Day celebration they toasted the biodiversity of their organic harvest with songs, apple carvings and inviting an apple press into the school. They pressed 130 litres of apple juice which they sold alongside a homemade apple treats cafe. After an interesting and lively debate about lots of children’s charities they voted in our school meeting to send the money raised to Kimbilio. The charity, which supports children living on the streets in Africa, will use the money to build a new school roof.
