Vacancy for Chair of Council

Park school provide an alternative, human scale, child-centred education for children between the ages of 3 – 12 years old that will enable them to develop a strong and positive sense of self and empowerment; building healthy relationships with others, inspiring and helping them to flourish, achieve and exercise agency in their world

Essential to these aims are the Park Council Governors, who are charged with the over-arching stewardship of the school, responsible for its strategic direction and regulatory compliance.  As Trustees of the School as an educational charity, our Council maintain oversight of the human scale ethos, the school’s educational responsibilities along with its reputation, obligations and risks.

The Council of Governance charge the Leadership Team and staff with direct responsibility for delivery of the school’s aims and objectives plus charitable duties, providing continual support with appropriate scrutiny and challenge.  

To ensure it can carry out its role effectively, the Council are currently looking to recruit a Chair of Council.
